<description>Cover for Lionel Shriver's novel "We Need to Talk About Kevin".

After having been inspired by the OULIPO writers’ feats of self-constraint, I attempted my own version of an oulipian challenge, but for illustration. Choosing six novels that consisted of (or included) the name of the main character in the title, I created book covers showing as little of the main character as I could.

<description>Cover for Margaret Atwood's 'Oryx and Crake'.

After having been inspired by the OULIPO writers’ feats of self-constraint, I attempted my own version of an oulipian challenge, but for illustration. Choosing six novels that consisted of (or included) the name of the main character in the title, I created book covers showing as little of the main character as I could.

		<description>Poster for George Perec's novel "A Void".

The book is written (and translated) entirely without the letter ‘e’. The novel plays on the noir style, and revolves around a family curse which causes people to mysteriously disappear.

The book is a seminal OULIPO work- it consists of one story (of a repeated encounter with a man – first on a bus, then on the street) told multiple times in various different ways.&#60;img src="http://payload162.cargocollective.com/1/2/90810/5547467/mdoliveux_ExdeStyle.jpg" width="501" height="720" width_o="501" height_o="720" src_o="http://payload162.cargocollective.com/1/2/90810/5547467/mdoliveux_ExdeStyle_o.jpg" data-mid="29895108" border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload162.cargocollective.com/1/2/90810/5547467/mdoliveux_ExdeStyle2.jpg" width="501" height="720" width_o="501" height_o="720" src_o="http://payload162.cargocollective.com/1/2/90810/5547467/mdoliveux_ExdeStyle2_o.jpg" data-mid="29895110" border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload162.cargocollective.com/1/2/90810/5547467/mdoliveux_ExdeStyle3.jpg" width="501" height="720" width_o="501" height_o="720" src_o="http://payload162.cargocollective.com/1/2/90810/5547467/mdoliveux_ExdeStyle3_o.jpg" data-mid="29895112" border="0" align="left"/&#62;</description>
